Setup Guide for
MS Outlook Express 6.0
If you don't know which version you have,
click on Help -> About on the
toolbar.

Step 1
Open MS
Outlook Express 6.0
Select Tools -> Accounts from the
toolbar, |

Step 2
The Internet Accounts window comes up.
Click on Add
-> Mail... to create a new account to
access our mail service. |

Step 3
The Internet Connection Wizard | Your Name comes
up.
In the field Display Name: type your
full name,
Then click on the button Next> in the bottom part of the
wizard. |

Step 4
The Internet Connection Wizard | Internet Email Address
comes up.
In the field E-mail Address: type the email address that
you want to setup the account for.
Note Please keep in mind that alias email addresses do not
require to be setup with an account. Alias emails will be directed to a
main email address.
Then click on the
button Next> in the bottom part of the
wizard. |

Step 5
The Internet Connection Wizard | Email Server Names comes
up.
In the field Incoming
mail (POP3, IMAP or HTTP) server: type your pop server name.
In the field Outgoing
mail (SMTP) server: type the your smtp server name.
Then click on the button Next> in the bottom part of the
wizard. |

Step 6
The Internet Connection Wizard | Internet Mail Logon
comes up.
In the field Account name:
type your email address or account name.
In the field Password: type the password that belongs to
this email.
Note: Then click on the button Next>
in the bottom part of the wizard. |

Step 7
The Internet Connection Wizard | Congratulations comes
up.
Click on the Finish button in the bottom part of the
wizard |

Step 8
You are now
back to the window of Step 2
Select the account you just created and click
on the Properties button on the right side of
the window. |

Step 9
The Properties window of the account that you selected
comes up.
Select the Servers
Tab, |

Step 10
The Properties window of the account that you selected
changes the information that would look like the picture on the
right.
Put a check mark or make sure that a check
mark is in the box: My server requires
authentication
Optional Step - Keep email on server:
Select the Advanced Tab,
The Advanced window of the account that you selected
changes the information that would look like the picture on the right.
Put a check mark or make sure that a check mark is in the box:
Leave a copy of the message on server
Put a check mark or make sure that a check mark is in the box:
Remove from server after # days
Set the number of days to store email on the server, Recommend 2 days.
Click on the OK
button in the bottom part of the window,
And click on Close in the window of Step 8
Your account is now setup for your new email account
Repeat steps 1 to 10 for every email
account that needs a password to get the emails in that
account. |
